There’s just no stopping WayForward apparently. After we’ve already reported on their progress on a new Double Dragon game and more, the developer is now taking on an additional license. It will release the game tie-in of Hotel Transylvania in September.
Hotel Transylvania is an upcoming animated movie from Sony Pictures Animation, who are also responsible for that Smurfs feature presentation. The movie is about Dracula, who opens a ritzy resort for monsters to take a break from human persecution. During the weekend of the vampire’s celebration for his daughter Mavis’ 118th birthday, all the local ghouls come to town: Frankenstein, the Mummy, Invisible Man and so on. The covert party takes a turn, however, when a simple human stumbles into the hotel and just so happens to have an eye for Mavis and her “youthful” appearance.
The movie has quite the star-studded cast. Adam Sandler will take on the role of Dracula, together with an ensemble of comedy veterans. More names include Kevin James, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Fran Drescher, Jon Lovitz and Cee-Lo Green? The film will debut on September 28, 2012.
The game will be an action adventure that offers similar settings, together with puzzling challenges. It will release for Nintendo DS and 3DS.
Awesome. I think. lol Wayforward are great, have they made a bad game? This is an interesting movie license that I didn’t know about till reading about it here. This is definitely on my watch list for the movie and I will follow the game, and depending on the format it goes with for gameplay, grab a copy of it.
